Balkaniada is held in the heart of Central Balkan National Park, located in the geographical center of Bulgaria and known for its vast trail network and iconic mountain landscapes. The event offers technically demanding mountain running routes that pass through some of the most emblematic sections of the Balkan Mountains, including parts of the E3 international hiking trail (Kom–Emine). The race combines serious physical challenges with wide panoramic views and authentic mountain terrain. Balkaniada has established itself as one of the leading mountain running events in Bulgaria.
